I am Jackie Todd, daughter of the late Dean and Nathaniel (Nay/Nate) Jones of Townville. I was born and raised in Townville, South Carolina and the Jones roots run deep. I am ready to lead on behalf of the citizens of South Carolina House District 8.
I am running for office because I have the skillset to make a difference for our children and grandchildren. I want South Carolina to have an efficient and effective government that optimizes our tax dollars and is as resilient and diverse as the people it serves. This can happen when every citizen is prosperous.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a master's in Business Administration. I had a successful career with one of the largest chemical companies in the world. I’m also certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt – a widely recognized professional designation.
My education, certification and business experience make me the best candidate to represent District 8.
Mission Statement
To leave the district better than I found it by improving the quality of life for those in District 8 and in South Carolina by practicing and supporting transparent decision making and full disclosure, focusing on constituency needs instead of political party agendas, and recognizing and supporting fair and equal governmental framework while in the SC House of Representatives.
